EAST SUSSEX BREAST SCREENING SERVICE
Breast Screening for Ferry Road Health Centre patients will begin in November 2021 and run for approximately two months. Women from the practice between the ages of 50 and 70 will automatically be invited for screening during this time. Invites are issued from the Screening Office in Brighton and issued to a strict rota, so this could mean that your relatives, friends or colleagues are invited before you.
Women who become 50 later this year might not be invited until the next time the screening service is in the area. This complies with National Guidance which states that the Screening Service have until a woman’s 53rd birthday to invite her for her first screening.
The screening will take place in the Breast Screening Unit at the Conquest Hospital. All women invited will receive an appointment letter, a map showing the location of the Mobile Unit and an information booklet.
