Bowel Cancer Awareness Month

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness month. Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK. Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. Screening will help stop people dying from bowel cancer and the NHS England bowel cancer screening programme is being offered to everyone over the age of 60.

– If you are over 60, take the test when you receive it in the post
– If you are younger, tell the people in your life to take the test!

If you are over 60 and received the test kit but didn’t take the test, but you would now like to, call the screening helpline on 0800 707 6060.

Whatever age you are, knowing the signs of bowel cancer could save your life. If you have any concerns visit https://www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk/ or make an appointment with your Doctor.
