If you’re overweight, losing weight has many health benefits. Making small, simple changes to what and how much you are eating and drinking, and being active, can really help you lose the pounds. The NHS is here to support you in a number of ways.

Gloji Digital Weight Loss Plan
Gloji provide a 12 week digital weight loss programme for people that have a BMI over 30 (or 27.5 if you are from a Black, Asian or mixed heritage community).

NHS Digital Weight Management
The NHS provide a digital weight management programme for patients with a BMI over 30 (or 27.5 if you are from a Black, Asian or mixed heritage community) and a diagnosis of diabetes or hypertension.
If you are eligible and would like to be referred, contact us via an online Engage Consultation or speak to a receptionist.

NHS England are doing a phased roll out and are identifying patients with the highest clinical need. We will contact eligible patients. Access to the medication goes hand in hand with support to help with eating habits and start/improve physical activity as part of a national wrap around service. Access to prescribed weight loss medication will be predicated on a patients engagement with this service.

Private Prescriptions for Mounjaro
Some patients are prescribed Mounjaro through private providers. Full support will be provided by the private healthcare provider. We are unable to provide weight or height measurements for privately prescribed patients.

Children’s Weight Loss Support
NHS East Sussex provides free healthy weight and lifestyle support for children and families through the School Health Service. This includes the 8-week Eat Well, Get Active programme (often featuring principles from the HENRY initiative) aimed at 4 to 12-year-olds.
